ABOUT ME:
I’m originally a mountain girl – born in Vail, CO with my childhood spent in Park City, UT and undergrad years in Boulder, CO. I am an avid world traveler with a slight obsession with live music and The Grateful Dead. You’ll catch on quickly that my camera is my sidekick… And I’ve already made plans in my next life to travel the world working for National Geographic.
In this life I’m dedicated to being a family nurse practitioner. I attended Vanderbilt University’s FNP program and I spent the last three years working at low-income, federally qualified health centers in the Bay Area and Denver. I’m driven by my ability as an NP’s to provide holistic, affordable care to underserved communities – both locally and abroad. My career background is a mix of acting, fashion, anthropology, global health, and fitness coaching. I’m married to the funniest, kindest man alive who reminds me each day just how bright the sun can shine. Life, to me, is an infinite blank canvas with endless opportunity to imagine, endeavor, and accomplish. All you need is the right mindset, some creativity, and perspective!
ABOUT THE BLOG:
Sincerely, Angie is my creative outlet meant to inspire others and teach something of value that may be applicable to ones happiness and well being. My career in healthcare will be a forever journey of learning, and I want to share some of that knowledge with you. Wellness is more than just being physically healthy… It’s a personal pursuit of balancing the needs of both your mind and body. As I strive to balance these elements in my own life and career, I will share tips, stories, and recommendations along the way with you. I hope that this will create a source of positivity, inspiration, and ultimately add a dose of wellness to your day.
As 2020 has brought all of us challenges, I have decided to launch a mentoring program for aspiring and fellow NPs. This really is just an extension of what I have already been providing for my readers — insight, advice, essay editing, admission tips, HRSA/Nurse Corps guidance . . . Now with more structure and individualized time set aside for you to meet (virtually) with me. Use my contact form to reach out for more details on costs and schedule times. I look forward to hearing your story and being apart of your nursing journey!
Sincerely,
Angie
